CeCe Winans, born Priscilla Marie Winans on October 8, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, is an acclaimed American gospel singer known for her powerful vocals and inspirational music. Growing up in a musically gifted family rooted in gospel traditions, CeCe began singing in church as a child. She rose to prominence in the 1980s alongside her brother BeBe Winans, forming a successful duo that blended gospel with contemporary R&B, producing hits like Different Lifestyles. Launching her solo career in 1995 with the Grammy-winning Alone in His Presence, CeCe continued to release acclaimed albums such as Alabaster Box and CeCe Winans. Over her illustrious career, she has earned 15 Grammy Awards, 31 GMA Dove Awards, and numerous other accolades, becoming the best-selling and most awarded female gospel artist in history.
